Aurat March 2026: Sindh Government Grants NOC for Sea View Gathering Under 28 Strict Conditions

The Sindh government has officially granted a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to the organizers of Aurat March Karachi for their scheduled event at Sea View this Sunday, May 10, 2026. The march, which coincides with Mother’s Day, was approved following a week of uncertainty and a direct appeal to the First Lady of Sindh, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari.

Event Details & Schedule

The gathering is permitted to take place from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. While the NOC marks a victory for the organizers after previous detentions and delays, it comes with a stringent list of 28 conditions issued by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) South.

Key Restrictions and Conditions

The district administration has imposed several specific mandates that organizers and participants must follow:

  • Content Restrictions: The NOC strictly prohibits any "anti-state" or "anti-religion" slogans, banners, or speeches. Statements against the "ideology of Pakistan," state policies, or the armed forces are barred.

  • Social & Identity Limits: Participants have been instructed not to wear "objectionable clothing." Furthermore, the promotion of LGBTQ themes and representation from banned or proscribed organizations is strictly forbidden.

  • Security Responsibilities: Organizers are held "solely responsible" for any mishaps or security breaches. They must manage an internal security cordon, deploy volunteers for physical searches, and utilize metal detectors and walkthrough gates.

  • Public Order: The event must not obstruct traffic or cause public disturbance. Adherence to the Loudspeakers Ordinance is mandatory, and parking must be established at least 200 yards away from the main venue.

Authority and Compliance

The administration reserved the right to cancel the permit at any time without assigning a reason. Law enforcement agencies also maintain the authority to change the route, venue, or demand the program be concluded earlier than scheduled if deemed necessary.
