POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
The Mudassar Tipu, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, has urged all Pakistani citizens currently in Iran to immediately contact the Pakistan Embassy to facilitate their return home.
Speaking on Monday, the ambassador said that arrangements are being made for the repatriation of Pakistani nationals, although challenges remain regarding the availability of buses for transportation.
He appealed to Pakistani citizens to register with the embassy as soon as possible. “All citizens must contact the embassy immediately so that return arrangements can be made effective,” he said.
According to the embassy, the return process will begin after registration, and movements will be planned based on available transportation and logistical arrangements.
The embassy also requested cooperation from Iranian authorities and citizens to ensure a smooth and orderly return process. Pakistani officials are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating efforts to ensure that all registered citizens can safely travel back to Pakistan.
This advisory comes amid ongoing regional uncertainties, prompting the Pakistani government to prioritise the safe return of its citizens from Iran.
