In a high-level meeting held in Islamabad on Thursday, May 14, 2026, Federal Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik and Qatari Ambassador Ali bin Mubarak Al-Khater discussed the technical and diplomatic roadmap for increasing gas shipments to Pakistan.

  • Continuous Dialogue: Minister Malik confirmed that he remains in direct contact with Qatar’s Energy Minister, Saad al-Kaabi. He emphasized that the government is fast-tracking necessary approvals to secure energy supplies from "brotherly nations" like Qatar to stabilize the domestic energy sector.
