Flash Floods Sweep Vehicles Away in Balochistan’s Chaman Region

Severe flash floods have caused significant destruction in parts of Balochistan, particularly in and around Chaman, where multiple vehicles, including passenger vans and trucks, were swept away by strong floodwaters.

According to district administration officials, a truck carrying food supplies was washed away in the Habibzai area of Gulistan tehsil after being caught in rapidly rising المياه. Authorities also confirmed that a passenger van carrying approximately 15 individuals was swept away in the floods. Rescue operations have been launched to locate and assist those affected.

Officials reported that water levels in the Qila Abdullah River have risen significantly, leading to a high-level flood situation. As a result, traffic on the Quetta-Chaman highway has been severely disrupted, leaving many commuters stranded.

In addition, several passenger vehicles have become stuck in rain-fed streams across Pishin and Toba Achakzai, further complicating rescue and relief efforts.

Authorities are continuing emergency operations in affected areas, urging residents to exercise caution and avoid traveling through flooded مناطق until conditions improve.
