Pakistan Defeats Malaysia 5-3, Advances to FIH World Cup Qualifier Semi-Finals

Pakistan’s men’s hockey team delivered a thrilling performance in the FIH Men’s World Cup Qualifier, defeating Malaysia 5-3 in their second match of the tournament held from March 1–7. The victory ensures Pakistan’s place in the semi-finals.

For Pakistan, Rana Waheed Ashraf, Zakariya Hayat, Ahmed Nadeem, Muhammad Sufyan Khan, and Muhammad Ammar each contributed a goal. Malaysia’s goals came from Abdul Rauf, Ahkamullah, and Fitri Saari, with each player scoring once.

The win was celebrated by officials, including Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani, Ad-hoc Governance and Management Chairmen Olympians Islahuddin Siddiqui and Hassan Sardar, and Chief Selector Samiullah Khan, who all congratulated the team for their impressive performance.
