Pakistan Imposes Nationwide Drone Ban Over Security Concerns

The Government of Pakistan has imposed a nationwide ban on the flying of drones, citing security concerns and potential threats to public safety. The decision, announced by the Interior Ministry of Pakistan, prohibits drones in both commercial and recreational areas.

According to the ministry’s notification, provincial governments have been instructed to fully implement the ban, while relevant agencies have been tasked with monitoring and enforcing compliance within their jurisdictions. Officials emphasized that misuse of drones could pose significant security risks, which prompted the move.

The Interior Ministry has also appealed to citizens to respect the ban and adhere to the law. Government sources added that the situation will continue to be closely monitored and further measures may be introduced if necessary.

This step comes amid heightened security considerations and ongoing efforts to prevent potential threats from aerial devices across Pakistan.
