Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, strongly condemning the escalating regional tensions following Israel’s attack on Iran and subsequent attacks on some Gulf countries.
According to an official statement, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that such incidents pose a severe threat to the peace and stability of the region and could further aggravate the situation.
The Prime Minister assured Pakistan’s complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stating that Pakistan stands by its Saudi brothers and sisters “in all circumstances, at all times, and in every difficult moment.” He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Sharif also expressed Pakistan’s readiness to play a constructive and positive role during this critical juncture. He prayed that peace, stability, and harmony would soon be restored in the region, invoking the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan.
The call highlights Pakistan’s commitment to regional diplomacy and its close bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the country’s role as a key partner in promoting peace in the Gulf and Middle East.
