Operation Ghadb al-Haq Temporarily Suspended for Eid al-Fitr

Pakistan has temporarily suspended Operation Ghadb al-Haq in observance of the upcoming Islamic festival of Eid al-Fitr, the Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed.

According to the minister, the suspension was made at the request of “brotherly Islamic countries” including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar. The operation will be paused from the night of March 18 until the night between March 23 and 24.

Tarar emphasised that the temporary halt is strictly in respect of the festival, and that the operation will immediately resume with renewed intensity in the event of any cross-border attacks, terrorist activity, or drone strikes during this period.

The decision reflects Pakistan’s coordination with regional partners while maintaining vigilance against ongoing security threats along its borders.
