PDMA Issues Alert for Heavy Rains and Storms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a weather alert warning of heavy rains and severe storms expected across various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

According to the advisory, several districts in the province may experience intense rainfall accompanied by strong winds, which could lead to urban flooding, landslides in hilly areas, and damage to weak structures such as billboards, trees, and power lines.

Authorities have urged local administrations to remain on high alert and ensure timely response in case of emergencies. Rescue services have also been directed to stay prepared for any untoward incidents during the weather system.

Citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather conditions, stay away from electric poles and billboards, and keep themselves updated through official weather alerts.

PDMA emphasized that precautionary measures can significantly reduce risks and help prevent loss of life and property during the expected storm activity.
