Security Crackdown in Iran: 240 Suspects Arrested, Alleged Israeli Agent Executed

Security forces in Iran have carried out a wide-ranging crackdown, detaining nearly 240 individuals during operations in the provinces of Kurdistan and Kermanshah, according to local media reports.

The operations, led by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, were aimed at targeting anti-state elements and armed groups. In Kurdistan, officials reported the arrest of 11 individuals during a raid, while a member of a Kurdish armed group was killed. Authorities also seized a significant cache of weapons and ammunition, and detained an additional 70 suspects from different parts of the province.

In Kermanshah, security forces conducted another major operation, arresting around 155 people. Officials claimed that several of those detained were linked to groups opposing the state, including four individuals accused of spying for Mossad.

Meanwhile, in Tehran, police announced the arrest of a suspect allegedly involved in sharing sensitive information, including details of missile strike locations, with hostile networks.

Separately, Iran’s semi-official media reported that a man identified as Irfan Kiani was executed after being convicted of acting as an agent for Israel. Authorities alleged that he was involved in sabotage activities and played a role in spreading fear during nationwide protests earlier this year.

Officials stated that the execution was carried out after the country’s Supreme Court upheld the sentence, marking a significant development in Iran’s ongoing security operations.
