Australia has announced temporary travel restrictions on Iranian citizens holding visitor visas, citing concerns over the ongoing conflict in Iran and potential immigration system disruptions.
According to the Australian Home Affairs Ministry, Iranian visitor visa holders will not be allowed to enter the country temporarily. The ministry stated that the decision aims to maintain the integrity of Australia’s immigration framework and prevent complications arising from the conflict.
Australian Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil explained that there is concern some visitors may not be able to return on schedule due to escalating tensions in Iran, which could affect visa compliance and processing.
